What we collect
Nothing. Cmd-R has no account, no analytics and no advertising, and it never connects to the internet. It doesn't send anything to us or anyone else.
Searching your files
File searches go through Spotlight, the search index already on your Mac. Results are shown and then forgotten, unless you open one.
Your history and favorites
When you open something, Cmd-R remembers its path or address and how often you open it, so it can list it first next time. Your favorites are kept the same way. Both are stored in Cmd-R's settings on your Mac and never synced. Settings → History clears them.
Your clipboard
Cmd-R looks at the clipboard so it can fill in a path, file name or link you just copied. It keeps a list of your last 15 copied paths and links on your Mac, and ignores everything else you copy. Anything a password manager marks as private is skipped and never read into Cmd-R. Settings → History clears this list too.
Web searches and websites
When you search the web or open a link, Cmd-R hands it to your browser. What happens next is up to that website.
This website
The site uses no cookies or analytics. It's served by Cloudflare, which processes requests to deliver the pages and the download. Fonts load from Google Fonts.
